While I’m working very hard to get my Tinny pattern ready to be released, I’d like to quickly share one of the Tinny’s I made in Arizona.
I went for the colorblocked bodice again, but this time, I used the same fabric for the skirt as for the central part of the bodice. I think it looks better this way.
I used the peter petal collar, but in instead of two petals, I added just one. I was not entirely happy with the collar combination of the finished dress; it looked a bit ‘cold’. So I added a bit of warmth by sewing two brown buttons (from Purl Soho).
On our last full day in Arizona, we took to the Tucson Botanical Gardens. So please excuse the rather touristy pictures. (And please ignore the blurriness too. I still haven’t found out what WordPress is suddenly doing to all my pictures.)
The solid fabrics I used are some of my favorite Cotton Couture Solids: Amber, Mist, and Teal. As usual, I bought them at the wonderful Petite Couture. I gave the color combination a little try-out a while ago when I made these bibs.

I also owe you the most popular items from last week’s Show + Show Link Party.
Jadeden’s beautiful Candy Dress was the item clicked on by most of you:
Next up was Inspinration’s sweet Lilli dress:
And finally, you all really liked Balletoile’s gorgeous dress in a Bambiblauw fabric:
I have no new link party for you. During the next couple of weeks, the Sew+Show link party will be replaced by a different format. It’s a temporary change, related to the release of the Tinny pattern. I’ll explain everything in a day or two. I think you will like it. Think: connections between many lovely blogs, and a chance to win something really pretty 🙂 But first: launching that Tinny!
