Over a year ago, I was asked by Charlotte Rivers to write a contribution for a book with baby projects. Last week, the book was published. How weird it is to see your work published on paper! Well, I’ve published before, in my academic career, but that is stuff which no one is really interested in. This is a useful book which can be bought in a real book store!
I was asked to contribute a very simple project: a cushion with a little something extra. I went for piping and a name in iron-on transfer vinyl. The fabrics I used are from Birch‘s first Charley Harper line (from Noeks). Other contributors include extraordinary bloggers like Sanae Ishida and Delia Randall.
Contributing to the book was a special and fun experience. Not so much because my name is in a useful book which can be bought in a real bookstore, but mostly because what I could do last Sunday. I visited my grandmother, who has been a professional seamstress all her life, and who has always followed everything her grandchildren do closely, and could give her not only the issue of La Maison Victor, but also this beautiful book, with my project on the cover.
Many thanks for that, Charlotte!
