Annick from MinnieMie is probably the last Belgian sewing blogger who needs an introduction. Annick really is as allround as it gets: She sews and knits, […]

Around 15 years ago, I was watching a beautiful movie called In the Mood for Love (by Wong Kar-Wai). I don’t remember much of the story, but two things kept stuck in my mind: (1) the amazing theme song, and (2) the stunning dresses lead actress Maggie Cheung was wearing. You can enjoy both in this clip: After […]

Laure is a mix-and-match pattern with multiple dress, collar, and sleeve options. Starting point to this pattern was the classic qipao dress which dates back to 1920s Shanghai. Next, we added a number of options, so that Laure can be used to make a wide range of dresses, suitable for all four seasons. Go for a shift dress or a dropwaist dress, and combine it with different standing collar options and several sleeve options. Laure is a collaboration with Ann Tang-Se and Annemie Simons.
Laure closes with a hidden zipper in the back. In the front, you can add Chinese buttons (‘frogs’) to the Qipao version; they will purely decorative.
If you buy the paper pattern, you’ll receive:
- paper instructions booklet, printed in full color
- paper patterns on two A1 pages, printed in full color
- a folder, printed in full color
